Today is a huge beginning for me. Today I officially begin my student teaching. We don't actually have students until Wednesday but official teacher meetings today. Today is the first step toward the rest of my life.
Today I'm just the tiniest bit scared!

- Born and raised in Alaska, I graduated from the University of Idaho in 2004 with a degree in Public Relations but then decided that wasn't what I really wanted to do. I spent some time teaching preschool and then went back to school to get certified to teach elementary school. Now I live in Alaska with my husband and two boys.

I remember being scared too. You will be great. Kids love student teachers.

You will be great! I was terrified my first day of student teaching -- my stomach was in horrible knots and I thought I would throw up! It's okay to be scared - I think nearly everyone is the first time. I am sure the teachers are all really nice. Don't worry! :)
